Five run types.
One integrated system.

HYROX is a running race with stations — not a workout with running breaks. And most athletes have a fitness ceiling set by their aerobic engine, not their station times. We don’t fix that with one type of run. We fix it with five — combined in the right proportion, calibrated to you.

01 / Base
Base Runs
The foundation

Conversational aerobic mileage that builds the engine everything else stacks on. The single biggest determinant of how hard you can push the rest.

02 / Threshold
Threshold
The ceiling

Hard but controlled work at the pace you could hold for around an hour. Raises the speed at which your body can sustain real effort — the work that turns base fitness into race fitness.

03 / Recovery
Recovery
The absorber

Short, intentionally slow sessions that let you absorb the hard work without breaking down. The unglamorous run that lets every other run land.

04 / Speed
Speed
The sharpener

Short, fast intervals that train neuromuscular efficiency and stride power. Used sparingly, in the right block, to make race pace feel comfortable.

05 / Race-specific
Compromised
The translator

Runs performed off pre-fatigue, mimicking station-to-run transitions. Used sparingly, in the right phase — not the whole plan, but the piece that turns running fitness into HYROX fitness.

Built by athletes who race what they coach.

The BC Run Method came from one frustration, repeated over and over. At BC Block in Nashville, we kept watching the same thing happen — strong gym athletes, people who could crush any workout in their home gym, would line up for HYROX and fall apart on the run. Not on the stations. On the run.

We saw it in the athletes we coached. We saw it in ourselves. The generic road-race plans we tried were not built for HYROX. The hybrid conditioning we were used to did not build the aerobic base needed to hold pace through eight 1-km splits, let alone the threshold capacity to push them. The plans that did exist treated running as a single ingredient — some easy miles, some hard miles, done.

But running for HYROX is not one ingredient. It is five. Base. Threshold. Recovery. Speed. Compromised. Each one builds something different, and each one only works in the right proportion to the others.

So we built a method that integrates all five — calibrated to your race date, your goal split, your current volume, and your training history. Two years of refinement later, our run portion has gone from 34:27 to 30:38 — nearly four minutes faster across 8 km. Now we coach the same method to athletes from first finishes to podium qualifications.

The method, on ourselves.

We do not just teach the BC Run Method — we built it on ourselves first. Here are the receipts: our run splits from our first HYROX as a Mixed Doubles team, compared with our most recent race after two years of training the method.

I was frustrated and hitting a plateau in my training. After a six-week training block with BC Run Method coaching and programming, I found new confidence in my running, felt comfortable with faster paces and higher mileage, and unlocked a new potential in my performance. I went from struggling to hold 4:30/km to smashing sub-4:00/km.

The questions we get.

What if I have never done a HYROX before?+
Most of our athletes are first-timers. Your plan is built around your current fitness and your goal race date — no prior race experience required.
What platform do I need?+
All workouts are delivered through TrainingPeaks (free for athletes). It works with Garmin, Apple Watch, COROS, and most major GPS watches, and syncs with Strava. We will send you a setup guide after sign-up.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes. The initial 8 weeks is a one-time charge. After that, you are billed monthly and can cancel any time. We also offer a free 4-week pause once per year.
Do you offer refunds?+
The initial 8-week fee is non-refundable — it covers the time spent building your customized plan. Monthly subscriptions can be canceled anytime. If a documented medical issue prevents you from training before your plan is delivered, reach out and we will work it out.
What if I am out of shape or new to running?+
You are welcome here. Your plan is built around your current fitness, not where we wish it was. Most of our athletes were nervous about the running side when they signed up — that is usually exactly the right reason to work with a coach.
Can I do these runs on a treadmill?+
Absolutely. A mix of indoor and outdoor running is ideal. Whatever your access looks like, we will program around it.
What if I miss workouts?+
Life happens. The plan is designed to be flexible. For Basic athletes, we adjust at your monthly check-in. For One-on-One athletes, we can shift things in real time. The goal is the right work, done consistently, in the right doses.
Do you work with athletes outside the US?+
Yes. The program is fully online and works for athletes anywhere in the world. We support both metric and imperial units, and video calls are scheduled to your time zone.
Can I switch from Basic to One-on-One mid-program?+
Yes. Just email us and we will prorate the difference and get you on the new tier within 48 hours.
Do you also program strength?+
Right now, BC Run Method is run-only. We design your run program with your existing strength training in mind, and we will have a strength add-on available down the road.
What is the difference between Basic and One-on-One?+
Basic gets you a fully customized plan with monthly check-ins. One-on-One adds weekly check-ins, biweekly video calls, direct messaging, and race-week strategy. Pick Basic if you are self-driven. Pick One-on-One if you want a coach actively in your corner through race day.
How quickly will I get my plan?+
Within 3 business days of your cohort start date. You will get a welcome email immediately, then your TrainingPeaks invite once your plan is built.
How does billing work?+
You pay your program fee today ($99 Basic / $249 One-on-One), which covers your customized 8-week program. Your monthly coaching subscription ($49 Basic / $99 One-on-One) doesn't begin until week 8, when your initial program ends. At checkout you'll see this shown as a "56 days free" trial on the subscription — that's just how our payment system delays your monthly billing until week 8. You're never charged twice for the same period, and you can cancel the monthly subscription anytime.
